ELGIN CONG / AREA EVENTS - NOVEMBER
Dear Brothers & Sisters,
I hope you have had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebrating with family and friends.
During this Christmas season, we will be celebrating Hope, Peace, Love and Joy. I pray that all four of these would fill your life in every way this Christmas and beyond.
Just a reminder, immediately following the service tomorrow, we are inviting everyone to help decorate the sanctuary and put up the Christmas tree. With many helping hands, this should take no more than an hour.
Sunday, November 28 – Worship Service at 10:00 a.m. This is the first Sunday of Advent. Sheryl Sawyers will be presiding and Blake Smith will be giving a message of hope using the theme “The Day Is Coming”. Please make a copy of the attached worship service.

Tuesday, November 30! – Giving Tuesday is Just Around the Corner
Giving Tuesday is a global event that raises millions each year for a variety of organizations. Community of Christ has participated for several years, and we have watched with gratitude as contributions have grown.
A generous matching contribution of $250,000 has been pledged this year. For example, when $25.00 is contributed to Worldwide Mission Tithes that $25.00 becomes $50.00.
Any donation helps! Learn more at www.CofChrist.org/Giving-Tuesday.

ELGIN CONG / AREA EVENTS - DECEMBER
FELLOWSHIP /SPECIAL WORSHIP
Wednesday, December 1 Deadline – Tentative March Fellowship. Sheryl Sawyers is looking to determine in advance if there is any interest in seeing "Under the Streetlamp" at the Paramount Theater on March 27, 2022 at 6:00 pm as a Fellowship activity. Ticket prices would be about $55.00.
Sheryl has seen "Under the Streetlamp" in the past and her Mom and her both loved them. It's kind of like seeing Jersey Boys. They sing a lot of songs from the 50's and 60's. I remember all of the good times we had going to the shows that Arlene and Ralph would line up for us.
Here is the link to the event in case you would like to read about them:

I'd like to get a count of folks interested by December 1st please. --Jean Hedrich
